The perfumer: Dorothee Piot
She has distinguished herself as a gifted perfumer, currently associated with the renowned house of Robertet, renowned for its exceptional talent in natural perfumery. Trained at ISIPCA, she has also built up her experience with leading houses such as Symrise and Charabot.
Her impressive portfolio spans a variety of prestigious brands, including Amouage, Azzaro, By Kilian, Escada, Mugler and Lalique, with landmark creations such as Amouage Memoir Woman, Olfactive Studio Chambre Noire and Mugler Angel Eau Sucree.
Dorothee reveals a particular love for unique scents such as summer nights, black truffle, lime and fresh hay. Her passion for fragrances was awakened when she was 15, following a meeting with a perfumer. She admires Clinique Aromatics Elixir and would have loved to compose a fragrance for Marco Polo.
She takes a multi-tasking approach to her work, juggling several projects to refine and balance aromas. Dorothee believes that cooking refines the olfactory sense and understanding of fragrance.
As an aficionado of chypre fragrances, she likens them to a stroll through a lush garden, gradually revealing themselves. Despite the restrictions on ingredients in chypre fragrances, she believes in their modern, sensual appeal.
